Outreach STEAM Lab – Engaging Pedagogies is an experiential residential learning programme by Act on Learning for high school students, teachers, and community partners. Held in Ivalo, Lapland, Finland — on the land of the Sami Indigenous Peoples — the programme invites participants to explore ecological challenges, bioregionalism, and self-leadership through creative, embodied, and place-based learning.

Grounded in transformational learning and affective pedagogies, the lab supports participants in developing practical tools for critical thinking, creativity, and collective intelligence. Through collaborative inquiry, ecological storytelling, and hands-on exploration, participants are encouraged to strengthen their connection to self, others, and place — while building the capacity to engage meaningfully with today's environmental and social challenges in their schools and communities.
